A travel supplier who utilises an electronic (virtual) process as Fulfilment and/or Confirmation will need to supply its customer with a physical proof of the purchase and/or transaction.
For e.g. an airline applying to electronic ticketing the norm is to generate a Passenger Itinerary & Receipt, for the direct on-and-off line sales channels, and to dispatch it as an email.
For all other travel suppliers the basic process remains the same when it comes to generating and dispatching the physical proof of the purchase and/or confirmation albeit the procedures may vary.
